Miyoung is one of the best UX designers I've had the pleasure of working with. When she works on a project, she's all-in - she is deeply involved in both generative and evaluative research. I'll offer an example from a recent product and service project. The topic area was more complex than most, and she immediately began conducting her own research to learn and better understand the users, their roles, and what they do. From the beginning, she was hands-on, helping me to structure the research plan and questions, refining our documentation, attending every user interview, and sharing her own notes and insights. She then created a series of potential design solutions that were well beyond anything I'd seen before from a UX Designer in terms of visual presentation, with a host of options for each element of the interface. Those designs directly reflected her own research into the topic, and when we conducted our formative and summative reviews, both the users and our stakeholders were very receptive and, frankly, amazed at what they saw.
